Use this 'piggy-back' developed tethered float switch to rapidly replace your failed tethered switch on your submersible sump pump. You can also replace a vertical switch if your sump diameter is at least 14 In. to supply clearance for operation. This switch is interchangeable with most brands of sump pumps.
Fits submersible pedestal pumps thru 1/2 Hp. 10' power cord length. Includes mounting strap.

Client Evaluations
I bought this item sight unseen, to convert my 1/6 HP Flotec utility pump into an automatic sump pump. Before buying this, I had three major concerns:
1) Considering that my pump turns on and off only by plugging it in, would the float switch even function with it?
two) Would the float switch cycle on and off as well often as the water level fluctuated?
3) How and where would I attach the float switch?
Upon receiving the item, all my concerns were happy.
1) The "piggyback plug" functions as expected. You leave the pump plugged in to it all the time.
2) When the switch cycles on, the water level has to drop about five-six inches ahead of it cycles off.
three) The float switch comes with two mounting selections. One particular of the possibilities was a smaller metal bracket and a screw that specifically fit a mounting post on the top of my utility pump.
You do need to have a great size sump nicely for this tethered float switch to perform. They recommend 14" diameter but I consider you could make it function with a 12" nicely by putting the pump against one side of the nicely.
Straightforward style but works just as it really should. Fairly easy to install. The cord could do with becoming longer but apart from that this product does the job nicely.
