Zoeller's Flow-Mate Model M98 Cast Iron Submersible Sump/Effluent Pump attributes cast iron motor and pump housing, a cast iron switch case, and a cast iron base. All castings are cast iron class 25-30 with 25000 tensile strength. The M98 also features an engineered plastic vortex impeller. The Flow-Mate has a corrosion resistant powder coated epoxy finish. There are no sheet metal parts that will rust or corrode and no screens that will clog. The permanent slip capacitor motor is oil-filled and hermetically sealed. It features automatic reset thermal overload protection. The pump also contains a watertight neoprene square ring between the motor and the pump housing. The pump's upper and lower bearings are oil fed cast iron. The Flow-Mate's maximum temperature for effluent or dewatering is 130 Degree Fahrenheit. The entire unit is pressure tested soon after assembly. The pumps screws, guard, manage, arm and seal assembly are all made of stainless steel. The Flow-Mate consists of a float operated submersible (NEMA 6) two pole mechanical switch. It also functions a carbon and ceramic shaft seal. The pump's discharge is 1-1/two-Inch NPT. The significant width of the Model M98 is 10-1/8-Inch. The important height is 12-Inch.

This pump is built like a Cadillac. It is heavy duty and robust, and built in the USA. I wish they would say that on the ad for the product. That becoming said, DO NOT order this product from ACEHardwareoutlet. I ordered two of these. The pumps had been packed on their sides in a double box with nearly no secondary packing materials. The manufacturer has 'up' arrows labeled all more than the original boxes and they ignored them and packed them on the sides. They weigh 40 lbs and were packed like they were light weight material. Both pumps took a beating but a single was leaking an oil substance out of it, so I known as Customer Service, which was horrible. They were rude and not useful. The e mails took a day to get back to me, so I started calling them. They would not ship me a pump till they got the old one particular back and confirmed damage due to shipping. They asked me if I turned the pump on? - Of course not it was leaking oil!They would not expedite me a replacement, nor make any compensations. They tried to get shipping recovery harm from UPS even though I told them it was their fault, it was packed incorrectly. I am nonetheless waiting for my replacement pump.
