The 1/4-Horsepower submersible sump pump from superior pump will move up to 30-Gallon of water per minute. UL listed and safe, this pump is made of corrosion resistant thermoplastic with an adjustable float switch to automatically turn the pump on/off. This pump has a potent, however energy efficient (3.8 amps) motor for longer life and durability. Equipped with a suction screen on the bottom this utility pump can whisk away water to 1/8 of an inch from the floor. Pump has a 1-1/4" discharge and contains a 1-1/four" FIP x 1-1/four FIP or 1-1/two" MIP adapter.

functions a lot improved thatn the one particular i bought from property depot and then took back. the tethered float switch operates appropriately as nicely and it fit quickly in a 5 gallon bucket. nuff said.
The pump appears to be decent excellent and solid. The float switch, though, did not function for my use and I required to modify it before it was successful. I did not send it back, since I knew I could make the modification myself.
The (under-residence) sump application required that the water level be kept below about ten inches of depth. On the other hand, the float mechanism would not trigger till the depth reached at least 16 inches, likely closer to 18. The float requires to rise above the unit (ahead of activation) which is a lot also high to proficiently maintain the water in check. My earlier pump had a fixed float on a rod. It would trigger the pump at about 4 inches in depth. I did not comprehend that this new pump necessary so substantially water to be present ahead of it would kick on. I did not see an option for the fixed-kind float trigger.
