I purchased this hose to go with my new Wayne RUP160 1/6-Horsepower three,000 GPH Oilless Submersible Utility Water Pump. It comes with both a 1 1/two" and 1 1/four" adapter to connect to the pump. My pump utilizes the 1 1/four" adapter. The hose itself is 1 1/four". So while it will operate fine with a 1 1/two" pump, you'll take a tiny hit on efficiency given that of the smaller hose diameter. I paid $11 for it here on Amazon. I did find an identical searching kit with a unique brand name at HD for $9. I'm not an specialist on discharge hoses, but it looks to be your standard quality plastic discharge hose. It is especially light weight and thin, but it works fantastic for us. We can drain our 150 gallon kiddie pool in 7 minutes as an alternative of 18.five minutes with a garden hose.

I purchased this hose to be put to use for the sum pump which I also purchased from amazon. Immediately after I received the item, regardless of of the adapters that came with it, I can not connect it to the sum pump. I just wondered if I require unique adapters, so I went to hardware store to appear for the correct adapter, but I was told the sum pump I purchased can only match the garden hose.That's not what the instruction of the sum pumpt says. But, anyhow, I have to get whether or not any adapter is readily available for my sum pump to be connected to the hose.
